Justin Beck CEO
Justin graduated with a double major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. He worked as a software engineer at Google and a program manager at Microsoft. He loves driving his motorcycle and going waterskiing. Justin enjoys understanding markets, creating fun products and innovative business models, and making amazing technology. Andrew Hanson CTO
Andrew graduated with a double major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. He received many merit awards for his academic achievements, and has worked at Microsoft and Avid. From a young age he had a passion for making games and has never stopped. This passion is evident in his personal life where he enjoys playing board, card, and table top games. PerBlue is a product of his creativity and passion.
De Bavery Customer Support
De majored in Computer Networking and Information Technology at ITT-Technical Institute. Before joining PerBlue he worked for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board as a Help Desk Tech. When he's not working, he enjoys playing hockey and being outdoors playing softball, camping or just hanging with friends. De likes that everyone at PerBlue is laid back, fun, and hardworking individuals who come together to form one awesome team all working to accomplish the same goal.
Forrest Woolworth Brand
Forrest graduated with a double major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. He worked previously at Cisco Systems and GE Healthcare. He likes all things entrepreneurial and is the co-founder of Capital Entrepreneurs. He enjoys being outside on or near a lake, and loves building things and the collaboration that comes with working in a startup.
Beau Brokop Artist
Beau majored in 3D Modeling at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and also focused on drawing and oil painting in his free time. He previously made 3D models of clothing and accessories for a social game on Facebook. He really enjoys video games and likes cigars and a good drink. He enjoys PerBlue's energetic atmosphere and likes that everyone wants to make great games which motivates him to make the best art possible for the games!
Kyle Olson Artist
Kyle graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Graphic Communications. Previously he has worked on video games for freelance jobs and his own personal games, as well as working as a Graphic Designer for UW-Oshkosh's Department of Residence life. Outside of work he enjoys things like reading, playing video games, outdoorsy things like hiking or fishing, and even more drawing. He really likes the openness of PerBlue and the general feel of the office. Mix that with the opportunity to draw all day for video games and you have what he describes as his own personal Zen garden.
Peter Collins Developer Intern
Peter is majoring in Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin. He worked previously at Extreme Engineering Solutions working on web development and support tools. Outside of work he enjoys researching new technology, biking, and just relaxing with good company. He enjoys the open and competitive environment at PerBlue which makes it both cutting-edge and fun.
Wei Zhou Developer
Wei graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Masters in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences. He worked previously as an Assistant Researcher for the National Meteorological Center of China. He is a big fan of NBA Games and he is very excited about having the opportunity to start a new career with the many passionate, creative people at PerBlue.
Nolan Berry Server Administrator Intern
Nolan has his Associates in Computer Systems Administration and will be pursuing his Bachelors in Computer Science. Nolan has worked previously for the State of Wisconsin at the Division of Enterprise Technology as a member of the Windows Server Team and the University of Wisconsin's Center for Limnology as a Systems/Network Administrator/Developer. Outside of work he enjoys watching documentaries, working on geeky projects like micro-controller programming, and following technology news. Nolan's favorite thing about PerBlue is the laid back atmosphere that is highly productive and smart but still fun.
Alayna Lemmer Artist
Alayna graduated with high honors from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, receiving a BFA in Illustration. She does freelance work for Alderac Entertainment Group, Catalyst Game Lab, Rio Grande Games, BigBot Systems, Troll Lord Games, and Draumr Publishing. When she's not drawing full time or enjoying Starcraft parties at PerBlue, she likes walking her Bernese Mountain Dog, Frank. Check out her website.
Lindsay Ringelstetter Customer Support
Lindsay went to MATC in pursuit of a degree in Graphic Design. She enjoys spending time with her dog Jackson and her 4 sugar gliders. She enjoys the friendly, family-like atmosphere of PerBlue.
Andy Gilbertson Marketing
Andy double majored in Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin School of Business. He has assisted several small to medium size businesses with creating and carrying out their marketing strategies. He loves to be outdoors whenever possible, especially when it includes disc golf or volleyball. He enjoys the creative atmosphere of PerBlue and the people that encourage him to think up crazy marketing stuff and give him the freedom to carry it out.
Tyler Fero Developer
Tyler graduated Salutatorian from Full Sail University with a degree in Game Development. During college, he led a number of video game projects and later developed server software. Now he gets to enjoy tinkering with the infinite possibilities of game development. Check out his website.
Charlie Olson Developer
Charlie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters in Computer Science. Prior to joining PerBlue Charlie worked at Raven Software, Human Head Studios, and Echometrix. Charlie spends his free time playing volleyball and training for the Wirld's Mightiest Programmer Competition. He is excited to be part of such a promising startup.
Mike Yao Analyst
Mike graduated with a major in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and previously worked as a financial analyst at Epic. He enjoys board games and video games in his off hours and really likes the geeky, dynamic culture at PerBlue.
Amanda Colborn Marketing
Amanda is currently enrolled at Lakeland College for her BA in Marketing. Before coming to PerBlue, she worked at an advertising agency and was a jack of all trades. When not working or at school, Amanda enjoys traveling, road trips particularly, cooking and shopping for new music to add to her ever-growing record collection. Amanda likes the open and collaborative team atmosphere at PerBlue.
Ellie Humphrey PR and Social Media
Ellie graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a degree in Strategic Communications and Business Management. Previously Ellie worked as the Marketing Coordinator at Broadcast Interactive Media. Outside of work Ellie serves as a co-manager and event planner for Social Media Club and Breakfast, two organizations focused on education and networking in Madison. She enjoys the dynamic culture and teamwork oriented environment at PerBlue.
Nate Capuzzi Customer Support
Nate studied Network Infrastructure at North Seattle Community College and has nearly 10 years experience working with customers. He enjoys making coffee for his friends and getting tromped in various video games. He loves the camaraderie and energetic atmosphere at PerBlue.
Tim Brandl Customer Support
Tim graduated from Coe College with degrees in Music and Asian Studies. At Coe College he worked at the college's Academic Computing department, assisting students and faculty with their tech problems. Outside of PerBlue Tim likes to play competitive video games, board games, swim, and play Ultimate Frisbee. At PerBlue Tim enjoys the game nights, the calm work environment, and the ability to work on a video game.
Dominic Winkelman Developer
Dominic graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Previously he has worked at IBM, Garmin, and Epic. He loves outdoor activities and sports such as biking, snowboarding, and triathlons. Dominic likes PerBlue because of the work environment, the team, and the after work fun.
Brad Lang Server Administrator
Brad graduated with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin. He enjoys board game nights in the office and building traps on PerBlue's Minecraft server to ensnare his coworkers. In addition to gardening April to November in frigid Madison, he plans to build a hobbit house with a herd of miniature cattle in the Driftless area of Wisconsin.
John Detloff Developer
John graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Economics. Previously he worked as a developer at GoBuzz. He enjoys the energy and excitement for developing great games shared between PerBlue employees. Outside of work he enjoys bicycling and water-skiing.
Ben Sperry Artist
Ben graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin. He worked previously as a graphic designer for the Wisconsin Memorial Union and independently. He enjoys cycling and outdoor adventures with friends in the northern wilderness of Wisconsin. He likes the creative energy and freedom that PerBlue offers, as well as being surrounded by other talented and passionate people. Check out his website.
Brandon Sanchez Customer Support
Brandon went to UW-Milwaukee in pursuit of his Percussion Performance Music Degree and thoroughly enjoys playing every type of percussion instrument there is. As a child, he quickly fell in love with computers and rose above most of his peers with his knowledge of how they operate. He often found himself assisting others with their computer problems throughout his years of schooling, including his teachers! He worked for several different companies doing Tech Support and he has now found his home working with PerBlue.
Colin Juillard Developer
Colin graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters in Computer Science. In school he spent a lot of time working on real-time rendering and other 3D graphics projects. Previously he worked at Microsoft, the CUbiC lab at ASU, and a startup company named Grip Innovations. He enjoys gaming and hockey, and his favorite part about PerBlue is getting to work in a fast paced yet somehow still laid back environment.
Jon Steinich Developer
Jon graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin. He worked previously at Avid. He enjoys playing games and riding his bike, and loves working with friends on interesting projects.
Ryan Long Artist
Ryan has a Masters in Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin. Lately he's been doing freelance illustration and design for various organizations that promote education and equal rights. He has been an artist and a gamer all of his life, and he loves social media; so getting to work with all three at PerBlue is a dream opportunity.
Kenny Preston Developer
Kenny graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. The fun environment at PerBlue is a welcome change after previously working at the Department of Justice. He is an avid basketball player and loves to participate in PerBlue volleyball and frisbee.
Zach Meyer Customer Support
Zach will be attending the University of Wisconsin starting in Spring 2012 for Pharmacology in order to pursue his passion for developing life-saving medications. As a child he had a strong passion for computers and started programming when he was 12 years old. He worked with computers throughout High School and went on to work as a Lead Web Programmer for 2 years before moving to Madison. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends, playing computer and role-playing games, and the outdoors. He enjoys PerBlue's talented community of people.
Angela Spencer Executive Assistant
Angela majored in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin. She enjoys reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys the relaxed, creative environment at PerBlue.
Adam Wisniewski Internationalization
Adam studied engineering and art at the University of Wisconsin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. He is a US Army veteran, having served a tour with military intelligence in Afghanistan. He relishes the challenges and rewards of bridging the gap between different peoples and cultures. When he is not busy with translations & localization, Adam is working on his personal art portfolio or playing with his band, the Cloth Sea. Also, he loves dachshunds.
Jeremy Grozavescu Developer
Jeremy graduated with a major in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and most recently worked as a software developer at Epic. Jeremy enjoys games of all kinds, and has even worked on making game mods for Minecraft in his free time. He is excited to be working on something he is passionate about, and even more so at such a fun and exciting company.
Shane Schaefer Developer
Shane graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Computer Engineering. He has previously worked as a Software Engineer for Research Products Corporation. When he's not working with computers, Shane enjoys playing volleyball and solving crosswords. He likes the fun and energetic culture that PerBlue provides.
Stefano Taylor Community Manager
Stefano is currently studying at the University of Wisconsin, pursuing bachelors degrees in Physics and Creative Writing. Holding multiple academic awards and titles and fluent in three languages, his thirst for knowledge and experience is never-ending. He is an avid reader, gamer, and writer. He is very excited about having the opportunity to be creative and develop the best games possible.
Justin Weingartner Artist
Justin graduated with a degree in Computer Animation from Full Sail University. He worked previously as an environment artist at Foundation 9 Entertainment and Brash Multimedia, and freelanced with Ryte Byte Inc. He enjoys reading comic books, playing and watching hockey, playing D&D, and going to concerts.
